Collision Repair Quality & Parts

What does it mean to be OEM certified Body Shop?

A: Being OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Certified means that a body shop has been officially recognized and "vetted" by a specific vehicle manufacturer (like Ford, BMW, Tesla, or Toyota) to repair their vehicles according to their exact factory standards.

At CrashFix, we take pride in maintaining multiple OEM certifications across our locations. This isn't just a badge on our wall; it is a guarantee that your car is being restored to its original safety and performance specifications.

Why is it important to use an OEM certified collision repair center?

A: Using an OEM certified collision repair center ensures that your vehicle is repaired according to the manufacturer's specifications. This maintains the integrity of your vehicle’s safety systems, performance, and overall value.

Do you use OEM parts?

A: We prioritize Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts to ensure the best fit and safety. We advocate with your insurance to use the highest quality parts available.

What are the benefits of using OEM parts in repairs?

A: OEM parts are designed and tested by the vehicle manufacturer for the best fit, function, and safety. They ensure your vehicle performs as intended and help maintain your vehicle’s warranty.

Will the paint match?

A: Yes. We use computerized color-matching technology and premium refinishing systems to ensure a seamless match with your vehicle’s factory finish.

Do you do frame repairs?

A: Yes. Our shops are equipped with precision frame-straightening racks and electronic measuring systems to restore your car’s structural integrity to factory specs.

Will my safety sensors (ADAS) be recalibrated?

A: This is a CrashFix priority. We perform full diagnostic scans and recalibrate all cameras, radar, and sensors to ensure your safety tech works perfectly.

Can I see photos of the repair?

A: We document the entire process. We are happy to share photos of the internal repairs before the "skin" of the car is put back on.

What brand of paint do you use?

A: We use eco-friendly, high-performance waterborne paints that meet or exceed manufacturer standards.

Will you "blend" the paint?

A: Yes. To ensure an invisible repair, we blend the new paint into adjacent panels so there are no visible lines between old and new finishes.

Logistics & Timeline

How long will the Collision repair take?

A: The repair time depends on the extent of the damage and the availability of parts. Most repairs take 7–14 business days. After the initial inspection, we will provide you with an estimated completion date.

Can you start immediately?

A: With multiple locations across Los Angeles and Orange County, we can often begin the teardown process within 24–48 hours of vehicle arrival.

Do you provide rental cars?

A: We partner with local rental agencies and can have a car waiting for you at our shop or arrange a shuttle to their office.

How will you update me?

A: You choose: Text, email, or phone call. We provide regular "milestone" updates so you’re never in the dark.

What if parts are delayed?

A: If a part is on backorder, we notify you immediately and work with our vast network of Southern California suppliers to find a solution.

Is my car stored securely?

A: Yes. All CrashFix locations feature secure, monitored, and fenced-in storage areas.

What is the process for getting my car repaired at your facility?

A: Our process involves a thorough inspection of the damage, providing you with a detailed estimate, working with your insurance company to get approval, and then performing the necessary repairs using OEM parts and procedures. We keep you informed throughout the entire process.

Insurance & Financials

Do you work with my specific insurance company?

A: Yes. CrashFix works with all major insurance carriers. We have established relationships with adjusters across Los Angeles to ensure your claim is processed smoothly.

Can you help me file the claim?

A: Absolutely. We can guide you through the initial filing and handle all direct communication with the insurance company so you don’t have to.

Do I have to use the repair shop recommended by my insurance company?

A: In California, you do not have to use the repair shop recommended by your insurance company. State law protects your right to choose where to get your vehicle repaired. California Insurance Code Section 758.5: This law ensures that insurance companies cannot require you to use a specific shop for repairs. It explicitly states that the insurer must inform you of your right to select any repair shop.
As long as the repair costs are reasonable and related to the claim, your insurance company is obligated to cover them, regardless of the shop you choose.

Will my insurance cover the cost of OEM parts?

A: Coverage for OEM parts depends on your insurance policy. Some policies cover OEM parts while others may not. At Crashfix, we prioritize using OEM parts to ensure the highest quality repairs, even if it means working with you on the costs that may not be covered by insurance.

Is this Repair estimate final?

A: Initial estimates are "visual." Once we begin the teardown, we may find hidden damage. However, we never proceed without insurance approval and your consent.

What is a "Supplement"?

A: If we find hidden damage after the bumper is removed, we file a "supplement" with your insurance. This is a standard industry practice to ensure the car is repaired correctly.

To whom do I pay my deductible?

A: Your deductible is paid directly to CrashFix when you pick up your completed vehicle.

Do you offer payment plans?

A: We offer various financing options to help manage out-of-pocket costs. Ask our service advisors at any of our locations.

Are there out-of-pocket fees?

A: Typically, no. If your insurance policy has specific limitations (like "betterment" on tires or batteries), we will notify you immediately.

Can I get a written estimate?

A: Yes. We provide detailed, itemized digital and printed estimates before any work begins.

Trust & Credentials

Are your technicians certified?

A: Our team consists of I-CAR Gold Class and Manufacturer-certified technicians—the highest standards in the collision industry.

Can you help me file the claim?

A: We hold certifications for many major brands (Hyundai, Nissan, FCA, Genesis, etc.), meaning we follow the exact "blueprints" used to build your car.

Do you offer a warranty?

A: CrashFix provides a Limited Lifetime Warranty on all metalwork and paint for as long as you own the vehicle.

Is the warranty valid at all locations?

A: Yes. Your warranty is honored at any CrashFix location in Los Angeles or Orange County.
